InerG required a robust, modern B2B dashboard solution for its operational teams to monitor, manage, and forecast energy usage and supply across a regional grid. The project focused on transforming complex, raw telemetry data into intuitive, actionable insights for operations managers and field technicians.
The challenge
The system needed to ingest and process massive, continuous streams of data from thousands of grid sensors and smart meters. The main design challenge was aggregating this data into meaningful visualizations that could quickly identify potential anomalies or peak load situations. The interface also had to be accessible and functional for technicians using tablets in outdoor, variable light conditions.
The solution
We designed a dynamic, modular dashboard based around custom data visualizations (using modern D3.js principles) that offered multi-level filtering and drill-down capabilities. The interface utilizes a high-visibility, adaptive color scheme and was built with a mobile-first philosophy to ensure usability for field technicians. Key performance indicators (KPIs) were prioritized using a clear status card system.
The Impact
The new InerG dashboard reduced the time required for operational staff to diagnose grid anomalies by 40%, significantly improving response times and minimizing potential service interruptions. Furthermore, the built-in predictive analytics display empowered managers to make more accurate supply adjustments, resulting in a 5% reduction in wasted energy capacity.
